Good morning sun.

World Trade Center. New York City.

I usually have to wake up before sunrise because I have a job like most people. One of those jobs that you usually hate but you have to do it anyway. I’ve to take the bus and then the train so, usually when I arrive the sun still rising. So, it’s normal that when you have a free day you tend to wake up a little later, maybe after the sun’s raising or at noon. Depends on how much you wanna rest or how your week was.

But, here’s the thing. When you have a job that you don’t like. A job where you feel that is not completing you. A job that exhausts you. That makes you feel most of the time miserable, and you have something else to do that makes you feel better you need and you have to take the time to do it. It’s kind of hard because depending on the job that you have it may take a lot of time of your day and your week. It can make you feel tired every day and even on weekends. Because a lot of jobs consume you in a lot of ways. And I understand that it’s really hard to think about doing anything else than rest when you’re so exhausted because of the week that you had.

But, the only way to get out of that is not to rest at home. Is doing something that completes you, something that makes you feel like your life has something else besides your job. Because if we just get stuck in the routine and we don’t do de sacrifice of doing something that makes our life feels more than just work. we’re gonna start feeling more miserable and it will be like that until the moment that we start to do something.

It’s been hard for me to get into this kind of thought. I’m stuck in the miserable feeling of life. But lately, I’ve been working on making some sacrifices to do something more than just “working”. I’m doing something else that makes me feel better and special in a way. Most of the time my mind wins the battle and I do nothing because I feel so tired of my day-by-day job. But, when I win the fight against my mind it feels so good.

The Saturday that I took these photos was one of those days that I won the fight. I woke up very early and I took an hour trip to the World Trade Center. I arrive so early that I have time enough to wait for the sunrise and I had enough time to see the whole sunrise. It was amazing. The feeling was amazing. Not just because of the photos but because of the feeling of being there, capturing a beautiful sunrise at the World Trade Center. Watching it. It makes me feel complete for that moment.

So, just one day you should try and do something that you wanna do. It doesn’t matter the sacrifices that you have to do that way just to complete that. Just do it, just take the time and do it. It’ll be more days for you to rest trust me.
